Jim & Cheryl
Manfredonia will lead an afternoon or evening of musical praise and
worship at your parish. They are also available to provide music at
your retreat, mission or conference. Using their gifts of music and love for our
Catholic faith, Jim and Cheryl will present a
program that is sure to inspire and lift your spirits in joyful songs of
praise. They have provided the music at conferences by Father John
Corapi and most recently at Johnnette Benkovic's
inaugural Women of Grace Conference at the National Shrine of Czestochowa.
In addition
to their apostolate work at Domestic Church Media, Jim and Cheryl have
released four CD's of Catholic music and can occasionally be seen
providing the music on the Channel 6 TV Mass on Sunday mornings in
the Philadelphia area. If you would like to plan a day or evening of
spiritual reflection and inspirational music why not consider having Jim
and Cheryl come and share their gift of Faith and song with your parish?
Here Are The
Programs Jim & Cheryl Can Bring To Your Parish:
"The Liturgical Year in
Music"
Through discussion,
reflection and musical selections, Jim and Cheryl will demonstrate how
hymns written for the various Liturgical Seasons can deepen our prayer
life and enhance our participation in the Mass.
"Sing The Psalms"
A prayerful, musical
presentation centered on the treasure of psalmody. This program highlights
many of the various musical settings of the Psalms and demonstrates the
beauty of singing these prayers which were originally written to be sung.
"The History of Christmas Hymns &
Carols"
An enjoyable presentation of Christmas
Hymns & Carols. This program is appropriate for all ages and
families are encouraged to come and sing along! Jim & Cheryl will
explain the difference between a hymn and a carol and teach where some of
our most popular Christmas music comes from.
"A Lenten Musical Meditation"
Music speaks to the
heart in ways words cannot express. The Stations of the Cross are
reverently prayed with appropriate musical meditations following each
Station. This is an excellent program specifically intended for the Lenten
Season.
"Why, What, and When Do We
Sing?
A study of the
musical parts of the Mass. During Sunday Mass and special Liturgical
celebrations, music plays such an important role. This program helps to
develop a better understanding of its purpose to deepen your worship
experience. The music and Sacred text reflect and reinforce the Liturgical
actions.
"Catholic Music History"
A look at the historical
developments of our Sacred hymns and songs. Where does some of our
melodious praise come from? How did we get from Gregorian chant to today's
praise and worship anthems?
"Sing a Joyful Song"
More than just a concert
performance, Jim and Cheryl present a variety of Catholic music, from
traditional to contemporary, that encourages attendees' participation in
raising voices together as one in praise and worship. This joyful program
is sure to lift the spirits of all who attend!
