V     Own and/or Operate Catholic Radio Stations in

New Jersey, New York & Pennsylvania

The Domestic Church Media Foundation currently operates New Jersey's first full-time Catholic radio station, 89.3 FM, in Monmouth County with coverage that also includes parts of Middlesex and Somerset Counties as well as parts of Staten Island.  The Foundation is also actively seeking to own and/or operate additional Catholic radio stations that would cover wider areas of New Jersey, New York City and Pennsylvania.

Of the more than 10,000 AM/FM radio stations in the United States, roughly only 115 of them broadcast Catholic programming on a full-time or part-time basis.  The founders of Domestic Church Media, Jim & Cheryl Manfredonia, are radio professionals with over ten years of Catholic radio experience in the Philadelphia area.  From 1995 to 1999 they produced and hosted a daily program on WTMR 800 AM.  Then, from 1999 through March of 2004, Jim and Cheryl were associated with a Catholic station in Doylestown, PA where their responsibilities included every aspect of the daily operation of the station including producing and hosting various programs.

Domestic Church Media understands the responsibility in having stewardship over such an important media Apostolate.  With this understanding the Foundation would ensure that the programs were of the highest quality and remaining faithful to the teachings of the Catholic Church.  That is why they have committed to a strong affiliation with EWTN - the Global Catholic Television and Radio Network.  Domestic Church Media also produces local programs that would be of the same high quality and faithfulness to the Magisterium while at the same time giving the listeners an opportunity to identify with local voices and personalities.  Click here to find out more about Catholic radio.

V     Establish a State-of-the-Art Television Studio and Production Facility to Catholic Television Programs

Domestic Church Media has a radio studio Shrewsbury, New Jersey.  This facility is adjacent to the Monmouth County Planned Parenthood Abortion Clinic.  The building is leased by Family Matters, which runs a Pregnancy Counseling Center on the first floor.  Their main studio hub is located at their Fairless Hills, PA headquarters.

IDCM is working to establish a media center to be dedicated to Archbishop Fulton J. Sheen.  In addition to radio facilities, there will also be audio production facilities as well as a television production facility.

The first television project will be a 30-minute television pilot entitled “Catholic Family Today”.  It will be hosted by Jim & Cheryl Manfredonia.  In both its locale and setting, this television production facility will be able to provide quality Catholic television programming.  The long-range plans for these facilities would also be to produce many other types of Catholic programs for syndication.

V     Produce Nationally Syndicated Radio Programs

In the many years that Jim and Cheryl Manfredonia have been involved in Catholic radio, they have produced and hosted successful radio programs that have had strong appeal especially to parents and families.  They intend to produce these programs so that they will now be available through syndication to the other Catholic radio stations throughout the country.  Click here to listen to programs.

“Come To Me”  Jim Manfredonia hosts this 60-minute program on which he teaches and reflects on Sacred Scripture, the Catechism of the Catholic Church, the writings and teachings of Pope John Paul II as well as other spiritual writers.  Jim will also talk about current events that directly affect Catholic families as well as have an occasional guest discussing topics pertinent to Catholic family life.

“Catholic Music History”  Cheryl Manfredonia hosts this 30-minute program which through teaching and musical selections, examines a particular era and style of the rich musical traditions of our Catholic Faith.

“A Family Catechism Moment”  In these interesting and informational 60-second spots, Jim & Cheryl focus on a particular Article of the Catechism of the Catholic Church which encourages the family to read the Catechism.

“Saint of the Day”  Another fast-paced, 60-second spot in which Jim & Cheryl feature information about a particular Canonized Saint each day.

V     Sponsor and Coordinate Two Catholic Conferences per Year

Understanding the need to provide opportunities for Catholic families to gather for times of teaching, fellowship and support, Domestic Church Media will sponsor and coordinate two (2) conferences per year in Pennsylvania and New Jersey.  These conferences would feature the top Catholic teachers and theologians in the world today.  In the past few years Jim and Cheryl planned, coordinated and run successful conferences by Father John Corapi, as well as a fundraising dinner featuring keynote speaker, Johnnette Benkovic.

V     Produce Quality Catholic Music and Inspirational Recordings

Jim and Cheryl Manfredonia have recorded three CD’s of contemporary and classic Catholic music.  In 2003, they recorded “The Luminous Mysteries – A Family Rosary” on which they and their children pray the Luminous Mysteries of the Rosary with reflections in between the decades based on John Paul II’s writings on the Rosary.  Domestic Church Media would like to produce other recordings of music and devotions that can be used by families to enhance their prayer life and in celebration our Catholic Faith.  Click here to find out more about Jim & Cheryl's recordings.
