Jim & Cheryl Manfredonia founded Domestic Church Media in 2003 with the intent of using the various means of communications to promote the cause of marriage and family life, and the teachings of the Catholic Church. They have been actively involved in Catholic Radio since 1996.
They founded Domestic Church Media on May 5, 2003 and soon began their quest to establish a Catholic radio presence in New Jersey, Pennsylvania and New York.
DCM's first station was a small leased LPFM in Shrewsbury, NJ that was launched on September 2, 2005.
But on September 15, 2008, they launched WFJS 1260 AM in Trenton. Less than three years later, they launched WFJS 89.3 FM in Freehold. In January, 2016, they began operation of WGYM 1580 AM in Hammonton, NJ, and in October, 2016, WSMJ 91.9 FM in Cape May was donated to DCM and added to their inventory of stations.
In 2012 they were awarded the Benemerenti Medal by Pope Benedict XVI for their service to the Church. The Benemerenti Medal is the second highest Papal Honor that a layperson can receive.
In 2014, while on Pilgrimge in Rome, they had the honor of greeting Pope Francis and receiving his blessing.
